23rd Oct ASC Lucerne Let’s Get Physical walks in the footsteps of Mark Twain in Weggis
In 1897 Mark Twain spent a few weeks with his family in Weggis and described it as "the most charming place" he had ever lived in. We shall discover some of Weggis' history and walk through parts of the town as Twain would have known it,
hearing why he was in Weggis in the first place and listening to some of his witty stories and comments about Switzerland.

Afterwards we shall retreat to the Restaurant Viktoria for a hot chocolate or coffee.

Meeting time and place: 14:00 at the Pavillion next to the Weggis Schiffstation

Note: Weggis is built on a fairly steep slope so the walk will entail some uphill (but no steps). If you feel unsure about walking uphill, please go directly to the Restaurant Viktoria at about 15:00 and join in the après-walk chat.

Please put your name down! Please notify Eve Harpur by return e-mail or tel 041-377 0320 if you are coming so we know how many seats to reserve at the restaurant, and so we know to look out for you in case you are delayed
